Pennants

This is a competition which is run outside of the Southland Wide Interclub period so basically early January and then again early September approximately. This is a competition which is the same as the Southland Wide Interclub and we try to also mirror those rules that way anyone who is thinking of playing interclub at any stage will know what it is about.

Similar to Thursday League entering with the only change being you have to be a fully paid-up member and on the Squash NZ Grading List. Entries go to the Club Captain and will be asked for by email and then teams are selected on ability and again should have everyone playing someone of similar ability to themselves, and a team Captain is selected. The draw is then published in I-Squash. The first week the Club Captain picks a team for each match up to supply supper for that week for both teams and then a coin toss against the following weeks captain takes place to see who the team is to bring supper for that week and so on. This event also goes for an 8-week period with the only exception finals are always played on the Saturday after the last is played. There is a prize giving and a BBQ on the Saturday also. Cost is $20 per player for the entire round.
