Thirsty Thursday League

This is a social competition run over an 8-week period which caters for all abilities from top players to brand new players. This is a great introduction for new members to experience squash in a social team format. The event is open to members and non-members are welcome to enter also.

Format

• Teams are split into 2 separate Pools with one Pool starting at 5.30pm sharp and the 2^nd Pool starts at 7.30pm and each week that alternates (eg. Pool A week 1 starts at 5.30pm and Pool B at 7.30pm and then week 2 that alternates and keeps alternating each week after that).
• Each team is generally a team of 4 with a team Captain allocated who will contact you before the first night to advise time etc. 
• Each game is a 5-minute warm up with 25 minutes non-stop play until a bell goes, the winner is the player with the most points at the end of that 25 minutes. 
• There is finals and a prize giving at the end of the 8 weeks where prizes are handed out for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd from each Pool and also a supper is provided for everyone.

Entry

• An email will go out asking for players to enter by a certain date. Those players are then put into teams by the Club Captain and a draw is made up from that with the aim of everyone playing someone of equal ability as themselves and this draw is published on our website.
•  Cost is $20 per member for the 8 weeks and $40 per non-member. Payments must be made before the first round starts via bank transfer.
